Job Description
Support UNCTAD’s Debt and Development Finance Branch with economic analysis, research and technical-cooperation delivery. The officer collects and interprets socio-economic data, drafts analytical studies and briefing materials, supports intergovernmental processes, and prepares project proposals, documentation and implementation monitoring for development-finance initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse statistics and socio-economic information on debt and development finance
- Maintain databases and organise qualitative information
- Draft analytical studies, briefing notes and speech inputs
- Prepare inputs for reports to intergovernmental bodies
- Support panels and round tables on debt and development finance
- Prepare and monitor technical-cooperation proposals and projects
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in economics, finance, international relations or related field, or first-level degree with additional qualifying experience
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in economics, finance or related area
- Fluent English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in international trade, finance or development economics
- Experience with debt management or sovereign debt issues
- Experience with statistical and data-analysis tools
