Job Description
Develop multi-country private-sector partnerships for UNICEF's Regional Services Division in Nairobi. The specialist will advise country offices on financial and non-financial engagement, child rights and business initiatives, and regional strategy; strengthen business evidence and capacity; and help integrate responsible business action into country programme analysis, planning and advocacy.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise country offices on identifying, developing and finalizing financial and non-financial partnerships
- Conduct due diligence, develop pitches and support negotiation for partnerships including sensitive industries
- Provide technical guidance and training on business engagement, child rights and business tools
- Lead selected multi-country and regional business-engagement and child-rights initiatives
- Guide businesses on integrating child-rights considerations into policies, practices, investments and operations
- Lead evidence initiatives on the impacts of business activities and investments on children's rights
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, development, business, corporate social responsibility, public administration or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in sustainability, human rights or children's rights
- Proficiency in English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
- Direct experience establishing and stewarding private-sector partnerships in Africa
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
