Job Description
Delivers safe, efficient transportation for senior WFP and UN personnel, visitors and operations in San Salvador. The driver follows authorized routes and security rules, coordinates other drivers' schedules where needed, maintains vehicles and travel documentation, supports arrivals, and completes administrative tasks that enable dependable, cost-effective transport services for office clients.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Transport senior WFP staff, UN officials and visitors following authorized routes and UN safety standards
- Plan and assign routes and schedules for other drivers to support efficient client services
- Meet visitors at arrival points and support visa and customs formalities
- Maintain vehicle logs and report mechanical conditions for cost-efficient use
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure travel authorizations and supplies are available
- Follow delivery and accident rules and inform the supervisor of apparent problems
- Perform filing, photocopying, mail and basic office-support tasks alongside driving duties
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary education
- Official driver training and a valid license or certificate
- At least three years of work experience as a driver
- Fluency in the UN official language and local language used at the duty station
Desired Criteria
- Experience in an international organization, embassy or UN system
- Experience driving vans, trucks and other vehicle models
- Defensive-driving experience
