Job Description
UNICEF seeks a Driver/Messenger in Apia to provide safe, reliable and professional driving services under the Programme Assistant's supervision. The temporary role keeps vehicles ready for operations, uses digital tracking tools, documents trips and reports, maintains emergency readiness, and assists office operations during idle periods while following local driving rules and protocol.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide reliable and safe driving services in compliance with local driving rules and regulations
- Maintain vehicle care, maintenance and readiness for official operations
- Use digital tools and tracking systems to support transport operations
- Prepare trip documentation and reports and maintain communication and emergency readiness
- Support office operations during idle periods as assigned
Role Requirements
- Secondary education
- Valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- At least 2 years of driving experience in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record
- Demonstrated project management, collaboration, problem-solving and digital-dexterity skills
- Fluency in English
- Open only to nationals of Samoa
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of Samoan or another official UN language
- Good knowledge of local roads and conditions
- Ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
