Driver/Messenger

UNICEF seeks a Driver/Messenger to provide safe, reliable and courteous transport for authorised personnel, visitors and partners in Moroni. The post also handles official deliveries, vehicle inspections and maintenance follow-up, trip and fuel records, road-safety compliance, and practical logistics support for office operations, headquarters and field missions.

• Transport authorised personnel, consultants, visitors and partners safely and reliably
• Deliver and collect mail, documents, diplomatic pouches and official items
• Inspect the vehicle daily and maintain required safety equipment
• Monitor vehicle fluids, tyres, servicing and technical inspections
• Maintain trip, mileage, fuel-consumption and maintenance records
• Support field-mission preparation and light loading activities

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification
• Valid A and B driving licences for the vehicles and motorcycles used in the role
• At least two years of relevant driving experience with a safe driving record
• Fluency in French

• Working knowledge of English, another official UN language or Shikomori is an asset
• Experience with an international organisation, UN agency, NGO or government institution is an asset
• Relevant national-level experience in development, fragile or humanitarian contexts is an asset
