Job Description

Develops and deploys beam-optimisation and machine-learning tools for CERN’s ion accelerator complex. The physicist analyses operational and instrumentation data, validates automated tuning and monitoring procedures, and works with accelerator physicists, operators and developers to turn expert methods into reliable solutions that improve high-intensity beam performance.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop partnership strategy and policies
  • Build relationships with shareholder capitals and ministries
  • Prepare senior-management consultations and briefing materials
  • Identify new financing and cooperation partnerships
  • Represent ADB in global partnership forums
  • Manage junior team members and support their development

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in international development, public or government relations, economics or related field, or university degree with at least five years of specialised experience
  • At least 12 years of senior experience in strategic relationship management and public or government relations
  • Experience writing briefing materials for high-level officials
  • Written and verbal English proficiency

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in an international development institution
  • Experience implementing development programmes in Asia and the Pacific
