Communications Assistant

Produces and distributes UN video-news content for UNifeed, including research, special-event coverage, filming, scripting and digital editing. The role supports Arabic news coverage from Gaza, maintains video archives and online material, and helps create timely multimedia packages for external audiences across broadcast and digital platforms under field conditions.

• Produce and deliver daily UNifeed packages and website posts
• Research and compile information for communications products
• Organize special coverage and coordinate with media partners
• Manage distribution and preservation of video and film archives
• Research, script and edit Arabic news packages from Gaza
• Record events and interviews and direct location shooting
• Edit video inserts and programme components for news packages
• Prepare material for UNifeed by researching, editing and cross-checking content

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, international relations or a related area, reduced to five with a first-level university degree
• Video-production experience including filming and digital video editing
• News-environment experience
• English is required
• Arabic is required
