Child Protection Officer (Bhashan Char)New

Supports UNICEF's child-protection programme in Bhasan Char and Cox's Bazar, combining planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting with technical assistance. The officer works with coordination platforms, sector partners and affected communities to strengthen protection systems, apply agreed standards and improve support for children and families in a refugee-response setting.

• Support child-protection programme development and planning
• Manage and monitor child-protection programme results
• Provide technical and operational implementation support
• Coordinate with Bhasan Char and Cox's Bazar protection platforms
• Build partnerships with local stakeholders and affected communities
• Strengthen knowledge management and capacity building

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Law, Social Work or a related field
• At least one year of relevant child-protection experience
• Experience working with the United Nations, NGOs or relevant sectors and subsectors
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Fluency in English and Bangla

• Working knowledge of Chittagonian, Rohingya or Burmese
• Capacity-building or training skills
• Experience working in refugee settings
• Knowledge of community-based child-protection systems
• Knowledge of child-protection information management
• Ability to produce high-quality written work
