Job Description

Provides technical guidance to UNICEF China and implementing partners to professionalize Child Directors within the social-service workforce. The consultant supports child-protection programming through competency-based training, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, helping national and subnational partners strengthen services for vulnerable children across urban and rural communities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to national and subnational implementing partners
  • Support technical institutes strengthening the social-service workforce
  • Advance professionalization of Child Directors and Barefoot Social Workers
  • Contribute expertise in child-protection programming
  • Support competency-based training for the child-protection workforce
  • Contribute to programme planning, monitoring and evaluation

Role Requirements

  • Master’s university degree in Social Science, Social Development Studies, Humanities or a relevant discipline
  • At least five years of experience in child-protection programming, social-service workforce strengthening, competency-based training, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Strong writing skills in Chinese and English
