Job Description
Leads the International Civil Service Commission’s work on remuneration, allowances and related conditions of service across the UN common system. The division head directs compensation research, salary and travel-allowance operations, local-market surveys and policy advice, enabling consistent conditions for internationally and locally recruited staff across participating organisations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare policy studies on remuneration and the budgetary impact of potential changes
- Manage operational work on travel per diem rates and other allowances
- Direct local-market surveys that inform salary scales for locally recruited staff
- Maintain liaison with common-system organisations and other secretariat divisions
- Support Commission deliberations on remuneration methodologies and their application
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in human resources administration, business management, economics or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in the specified fields with two additional years of relevant work experience
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible national or international experience with a solid background in international compensation matters
- Excellent drafting ability
- English
