Job Description

OCHA seeks an Information Management Assistant in Goma to strengthen humanitarian coordination in the DRC. The assistant will collect, process and analyze partner data; maintain 4W products and databases; build maps and infographics; support needs and market assessments; manage KoBo and ODK tools; maintain information platforms; and produce visual products for humanitarian decision-making.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Improve standard products for collection and processing of humanitarian data
  • Analyze processed data and present it through charts, tables and maps
  • Coordinate partner data collection and maintain monthly 4W products
  • Develop and manage databases, spreadsheets and data tools
  • Support humanitarian needs and market assessments
  • Maintain the HumanitarianResponse.info platform and produce maps and infographics

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least three years of humanitarian action, cash-response or humanitarian-coordination forum experience
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Knowledge of GIS and mapping software

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of the duty-station context with UN agencies or international NGOs
  • Knowledge of English and Swahili
  • Experience with KoBo Toolbox and AI use in information management
