Capacity Building Consultant

Builds organisational, operational and business-management capacity for a community-based organisation operating a climate-resilient bamboo livelihood initiative in Rizal. The consultant assesses gaps, delivers tailored training and coaching, strengthens governance and procedures, mentors implementation, and provides IOM with progress reports and recommendations for sustainable enterprise growth.

• Conduct a baseline assessment of the CBO’s organisational, operational and business-management capacities
• Map government, private-sector and prospective-partner resources that can support the initiative
• Design and facilitate tailored capacity-building training and coaching activities
• Review and improve organisational policies, operational guidelines, manuals and business processes
• Provide monitoring, mentoring and technical support during implementation
• Submit progress reports on activities, findings, challenges and recommendations to IOM
• Deliver an inception report, capacity report, training plan and revised organisational procedures
• Deliver mentoring, technical support and monitoring reports on CBO progress

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business management, public policy, development studies, social sciences or a related course with at least seven years of relevant professional experience
• Or advanced or graduate degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience
• Fluency in English
• English and Tagalog for this consultancy

• Familiarity with community development, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience or nature-based solutions programming is an advantage
