Job Description
Supports IOM's Pacific Climate Mobility Programme by helping integrate gender and climate information into programme design, implementation and reporting. The officer compiles research and data, prepares guidance and training materials, tracks gender-mainstreaming indicators, and provides coordination and event support to country offices, government counterparts, civil-society organisations and programme partners.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review project documents to identify gaps in gender integration and refer findings for follow-up
- Draft guidance and training materials on gender and climate information for programmes and staffing
- Compile gender, climate-change and human-mobility data and prepare summaries for programme implementation and reporting
- Circulate approved research, publications and good practices to programme partners and country offices
- Support coordination with government, civil-society and programme partners on gender activities
- Coordinate logistics and note-taking for events, workshops, seminars and partner meetings
- Track programme indicators and report gender-mainstreaming findings and data-quality concerns
- Support data collection during field monitoring missions
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Law or a related field, or a university degree in those fields with two years of relevant professional experience
- Significant gender experience aligned with IOM and donor requirements
- Experience applying IOM guidance, regulations and procedures for gender mainstreaming
- Experience with project development, reporting and donor liaison
- Fluency in English

Additional Information
- Fixed-term appointment of one year with possibility of extension
- Open only to current and former IOM staff separated within the last 12 months through the structural adjustment process
- Internationally recruited professional staff are required to be mobile
- Appointment is subject to funding confirmation and medical, security, accreditation, residency or visa clearances
