Job Description
Develops gender-based violence and protection-risk mitigation guidance for evacuation centres in Vanuatu. The consultant updates guidelines and SOPs, pilots materials across three provinces, facilitates validation, supports Bislama translation, creates online training and trains government and civil-society stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review and update GBV risk-mitigation guidelines and evacuation-centre SOPs
- Pilot guidelines and communications materials across three provinces
- Facilitate stakeholder consultation and validation workshops
- Coordinate Bislama translation and design of guidelines and posters
- Develop offline and self-paced online training modules
- Deliver training to government, civil society, faith groups and communities
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in gender studies, social sciences, human rights, public health, disaster risk reduction, humanitarian action or a related field
- At least seven years of progressive experience in gender equality, protection, GBV, humanitarian programming or emergency management
- Experience developing GBV or protection guidelines, operational tools and communications materials
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Specialised certification in GBV, GBViE, protection or PSEA
- Experience in Vanuatu or another Pacific Island country
- Prior work with IOM, government or another United Nations agency
