Job Description

Support OSCE work on Roma and Sinti human rights across participating States. The associate monitors discrimination and policy, drafts analysis and briefings, implements programmes, builds institutional and civil-society partnerships and organizes dialogue, training, outreach and field activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on Roma and Sinti human-rights conditions
  • Analyze legislation, policy and risks of discrimination or conflict
  • Draft reports, briefings, memoranda and talking points
  • Develop and implement inclusion and human-rights programmes
  • Build links with OSCE bodies, governments and civil society
  • Plan meetings, field visits, outreach and dialogue activities
  • Design and deliver training for authorities and Roma organizations

Role Requirements

  • Relevant second-level degree, or first-level degree with two additional years of experience
  • At least two years of directly related experience, or four years with a first-level degree
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Nomination and secondment by an OSCE participating State

Desired Criteria

  • Roma and Sinti policy experience is desirable
  • Human-rights field monitoring experience is an asset
  • Another OSCE language is desirable
  • Gender awareness and sensitivity
