Job Description

Support the Resident Coordinator's Office in Maseru by building databases, data-collection systems and analytics; developing Cooperation Framework monitoring and learning products; producing dashboards and visualizations; integrating indicators into shared data pipelines; and strengthening UNCT and national counterparts' capacity to use quality data for SDG coordination and reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implement databases, data collection systems and analytics strategies
  • Identify and interpret data trends using statistical methods
  • Acquire, clean and maintain data from primary and secondary sources
  • Develop Cooperation Framework monitoring, evaluation and learning products
  • Produce dashboards, reports and visualization outputs for decision-making
  • Integrate milestones, indicators and evidence streams into common data pipelines
  • Support UNCT and national counterpart capacity-building on data analytics

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management, data management, information systems, information science, economic or social sciences, or a related field
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quality assurance of data analysis outputs
  • Open to nationals of Lesotho only

Desired Criteria

  • Ability to assess data accuracy and consistency through data validation
  • Data storytelling and visualization skills using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or R
  • Knowledge of the full data life cycle
  • Project management skills
  • Training-programme development and delivery skills
