Data Management OfficerNew

WHO seeks a Lesotho-national Data Management Officer in Maseru to improve health-information and surveillance systems. The officer will strengthen DHIS2, IDSR and eRegister use and interoperability; manage outbreak data and dashboards; analyse public-health information; train and mentor health teams; conduct data-quality reviews; produce bulletins; and coordinate data partnerships across levels.

• Strengthen national and district health-information systems using DHIS2, IDSR and eRegister
• Support integration and interoperability of programme data systems across sectors
• Improve case-based reporting and integration of disease and climate-change surveillance data
• Manage real-time outbreak data and develop dashboards and situation reports
• Conduct statistical and epidemiological analysis of programmes and emergency events
• Produce dashboards, visualisations and regular public-health bulletins
• Train programme managers, district teams and data clerks in data management
• Provide mentorship on data-quality audits, assessments and reviews
• Coordinate data partnerships with health stakeholders

• First university degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science, health information systems or social sciences
• At least two years of experience in public health or health-data management
• Expert knowledge of English
• Lesotho nationality

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science or health information systems
• Experience with UN agencies or public-health programmes outside government
• Experience managing outbreak or health-system data
