Job Description
Supports data systems, analytics and evidence products for the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Bissau. The specialist develops databases and data pipelines, assesses quality and trends, creates reports and visualizations, and helps partners use information for Cooperation Framework results. The role also trains users, improves data processes and contributes to advanced data-science products

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop databases, data collection systems and analysis capabilities that improve statistical efficiency
- Analyse trends and patterns using statistical methods across structured and unstructured information
- Acquire, clean and quality-assure data from primary and secondary sources
- Create dashboards and reports that communicate findings for management decision-making
- Develop automated and scalable internal data-process improvements
- Build staff and partner capacity through data-analytics training and workshops
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management, economic or social sciences, or a related field
- A first-level degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for an advanced degree
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to quality-assure data analysis outputs
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programmes and curricula
- English, French and Portuguese at UN Level II
Desired Criteria
- Data validation and consistency assessment are desirable
- Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and R skills are desirable
- Data lifecycle, project-management and data-storytelling experience are desirable
