Associate Data Specialist

Supports the UN Resident Coordinator Office's data engineering, analytics and decision-support work in Dakar. The specialist develops data systems, validates and interprets information, produces dashboards and reports, and strengthens data flows for Cooperation Framework results. • Develop databases, data collection systems and analytics capabilities that improve statistical quality
• Interpret trends and patterns using statistical methods across structured and unstructured data
• Clean and quality-assure data systems, including UN INFO and Cooperation Framework results data
• Develop reports and dashboards that support management decision-making across development, humanitarian and peace work
• Coordinate Annual Results Report and IMS-survey development for the UN country team
• Build staff and partner capacity through data-analytics trainings and workshops

• Advanced degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management or a related quantitative field
• A first-level degree with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Demonstrated ability to quality-assure data analysis outputs
• French at UN Level II

• Data validation experience is desirable
• Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and R data-visualization skills are desirable
• One or more years of data analytics experience is desirable
