Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop databases, data collection systems and analytics that improve statistical efficiency and quality
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns using structured and unstructured information
- Maintain and quality-assure databases, UN INFO and Cooperation Framework results data
- Develop dashboards and reports that support evidence-based RC and UNCT decision-making
- Co-design digital tools with national statistical partners to track SDG indicators
- Build staff and partner capacity on data analytics through training and workshops
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management or a related quantitative field
- A first-level degree with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to quality-assure data analysis outputs
- English at UN Level II
Desired Criteria
- Data validation and consistency assessment are desirable
- Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and R skills are desirable
- Data analytics experience is desirable
