Summary of Responsibilities
- Assess Member State positions and improve communication with geographical groups
- Coordinate agendas and supporting documentation for Board and Committee meetings
- Maintain continuous liaison with Member State delegations and clarify Secretariat positions
- Prepare summaries of consultations conducted by the Chair of the Board of Governors
- Research official records and develop guidance on political, technical and procedural practice
- Prepare background papers, speaking notes, voting scenarios and rotation lists for governing-body offices
- Coordinate General Conference speakers and assist diplomatic missions during policy-making meetings
- Compile Board decisions and General Conference resolutions for publication
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Public Administration, Political Science or International Relations, or a bachelor's degree in one of those fields with 2 additional years of relevant experience
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience
- Excellent spoken and written English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in diplomacy, multilateral negotiations and external relations in a multilateral environment

Additional info
- Fixed-term appointment for 36 months with a one-year probation period
- Appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical report
- Professional-category staff are subject to the IAEA rotation policy and a normally seven-year maximum tour
