Job Description
Provides deployable technical expertise to help countries control vaccine-preventable diseases and prepare for outbreaks. Pool members support immunisation planning, risk analysis, campaign delivery, surveillance, response, evaluation and capacity strengthening with governments and international partners.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support elimination and control strategies for priority vaccine-preventable diseases
- Conduct immunity-gap analyses, risk assessments and readiness evaluations
- Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate vaccination and outbreak-response campaigns
- Develop outbreak preparedness and response plans and vaccination strategies
- Provide rapid technical support during outbreaks and emergency deployments
- Lead after-action reviews, root-cause analyses and documentation of lessons learned
- Integrate polio assets and immunisation into primary health care and emergency systems
- Strengthen national capacity for vaccine deployment, surveillance and disease control
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, medicine, immunisation or a related field
- At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in immunisation, vaccine-preventable disease control, outbreak preparedness and response, disease elimination or health emergencies
- Experience providing technical assistance at country, regional or global level
- Experience supporting immunisation campaigns, outbreak response, preparedness planning, disease elimination or health emergencies
- Experience working with governments and international health partners
- Fluency in English
- Current health-insurance coverage when a contract is awarded
Desired Criteria
- Master's degree in a relevant health field
- Experience with measles, rubella, diphtheria, yellow fever, cholera, meningitis, Ebola, mpox, polio or maternal and neonatal tetanus programmes
- Experience supporting Gavi funding applications
- Experience in humanitarian and fragile settings
- Experience working across multiple regions
- Working knowledge of French
