Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and refine outcome indicators and methodologies using data collection, cleaning and quality assurance
  • Monitor outcome targets through portfolio reviews, forecasting and synthesis of findings
  • Design and maintain AI-enabled analytical tools and data products using LLM, NLP and machine-learning techniques
  • Develop methodological notes, indicator guidance and quality assurance for results data
  • Analyze World Bank Group outcome metrics and extract insights for senior decision platforms
  • Translate complex analysis into presentations, dashboards, briefs and talking points
  • Coordinate analytical workstreams, inputs and delivery timelines across teams
  • Support convening, learning and capacity building with internal and external outcomes stakeholders

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in a stated economics, statistics, data, computing, policy, development or business field
  • 2–6 years of relevant professional experience in data science, analytics, results measurement, portfolio management, consulting, development finance, public policy or related areas
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • High proficiency in Python and SQL, or R or Stata, with familiarity with statistical, machine-learning, NLP and LLM methods
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • PhD is an advantage
  • Management consulting or portfolio-management experience with senior executive exposure is an advantage
  • Experience building analytical pipelines, AI-enabled applications or interactive dashboards is an advantage
  • Familiarity with WBG or other MDB results systems is an advantage
  • Proficiency in other languages is an advantage
