Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate and manage construction contracts
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality
- Train local contractors and government counterparts in construction management
- Coordinate WASH implementation with government agencies and community groups
- Prepare progress reports on achievements, challenges and recommendations
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, procurement and supply-chain operations
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, engineering, environmental science, water resources, environmental management, social science or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in water and sanitation, construction, contract management, project monitoring, procurement or supply-chain management
- Proficient or fluent English
Desired Criteria
- Humanitarian, fragile-setting or UN-system experience
- Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
