UNV Especialista de Salud y Nutrición (Yaracuy)

Supports UNICEF’s integrated emergency health and nutrition response in Yaracuy, Venezuela. The UN Volunteer plans, implements and monitors services; coordinates authorities and partners; assesses coverage and service gaps; strengthens capacity; supports maternal, neonatal and child-health and nutrition interventions; manages data; and recommends corrective actions for affected communities.

• Support planning, implementation and monitoring of integrated emergency health and nutrition interventions
• Coordinate response and early recovery with authorities and implementing partners
• Conduct field visits to assess needs and gaps in health and nutrition services
• Support restoration and strengthening of essential primary health services
• Strengthen capacity of health staff, partners and community actors
• Support immunisation, nutrition screening, referrals and infant-feeding interventions
• Collect, consolidate and analyse data and prepare technical updates

• University-level background in public health, nutrition, medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics or neonatology
• Demonstrated health and nutrition experience and ability to coordinate with local authorities and community actors
