Job Description
Provides critical-incident psychosocial support for UNICEF personnel during the Ebola response in Bunia. The Staff Counsellor offers confidential counselling, assessment, referral and trauma support; advises managers on healthy work practices; develops wellbeing training and networks; monitors staff-wellbeing trends; and coordinates with counsellors and partners in emergency locations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide confidential individual and group psychosocial support
- Deliver psychoeducation, workshops and webinars on mental health and resilience
- Provide critical-incident stress management and follow-up support
- Advise leadership on staff-support strategies during emergencies
- Coordinate peer-support volunteers and mental-health provider networks
- Monitor wellbeing data and flag concerning trends while maintaining confidentiality
- Coordinate with UNDSS, agency counsellors and peer-support volunteers
Role Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience, including three years internationally, in psychological counselling and training
- Counselling, clinical, organizational psychology or related mental-health specialization
