Job Description

Leads the development of Rwanda's costed National Nutrition Strategy through policy review, stakeholder consultation and strategic planning. The national consultancy will produce a results and costing framework, financing and governance approach, monitoring and learning measures, and risk analysis to strengthen multisectoral nutrition policy and implementation.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review policy and align the strategy with national priorities
  • Undertake situational analysis and stakeholder mapping
  • Develop the Nutrition Strategic Plan and results framework
  • Cost the Strategic Plan and develop financing and resource-mobilization approaches
  • Develop implementation and governance frameworks
  • Establish monitoring, evaluation and learning measures and conduct risk analysis

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Health Sciences, Public Health, Global Health, Health Economics or a related field
  • Minimum seven years of professional experience in nutrition policy, health financing and multisectoral programme design
  • Experience developing national strategies, technical reports, policy briefs, strategic plans and guidelines
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of French
