Job Description
Provides technical and operational support for UNICEF Eritrea's nutrition programme, with emphasis on adolescent nutrition, micronutrient deficiency control, food-systems transformation and supply management. The consultant supports implementation, monitoring and documentation with government, UN and country-office partners to strengthen nutrition outcomes and the availability of commodities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support adolescent nutrition and multiple micronutrient supplementation knowledge management
- Plan and implement baseline assessment and pilot study activities for adolescent nutrition interventions
- Compile and synthesize programme data, achievements, challenges and lessons for scale-up
- Document food-systems transformation achievements, best practices and implementation challenges
- Develop and improve nutrition supply monitoring tools, databases and reporting systems
- Monitor warehouse inventory and commodity distribution systems
- Track programme results and prepare implementation-status reports and recommendations
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Science, Health Sciences, Global Health or a relevant field
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, research or data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Completion or exemption from national service, with supporting card or exemption documentation
- Eritrean nationality
Desired Criteria
- Experience supporting development programmes, government institutions, UN agencies or development partners
- Experience in nutrition programming, food systems, nutrition supply management or adolescent health and nutrition

- The consultancy is open to Eritrean nationals only
- The consultant works under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist
- Workplans are reviewed monthly and translated into a rolling quarterly plan
