Job Description
UNICEF seeks a consultant to develop a costed, operational plan for Health Care Technology Management in Tanzania. The plan will translate policy into interventions across the health system, defining institutional roles, financing, workforce needs, service standards and monitoring. It will support lifecycle management of health technologies, biomedical equipment and maintenance infrastructure.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop a costed operational implementation plan for Health Care Technology Management
- Define institutional roles, financing mechanisms, workforce requirements and service standards
- Assess estimated costs against available and projected health-sector resources
- Guide investment prioritisation for biomedical equipment and maintenance infrastructure
- Develop monitoring frameworks for lifecycle management of health technologies
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, health systems engineering, public health, health policy and planning, health economics or related health-systems discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in health systems strengthening, health technology management or health infrastructure development
- Fluency in English and Swahili
Desired Criteria
- Analytical and report-writing skills
- Ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations and consensus-building
- Familiarity with national health-sector strategies, plans and guidelines
