Job Description

Leads multi-stakeholder engagement and landscape-level implementation for UNDP’s FOLUR programme in Indonesia. The role advances sustainable commodity value chains, conservation and land-use governance, coordinates government, private-sector and community partners, oversees local grants, supports project monitoring and reports, and develops knowledge and capacity for integrated landscape management.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead inclusive multi-stakeholder engagement across FOLUR target jurisdictions and commodity value chains
  • Develop and implement stakeholder-engagement plans and facilitate collaboration dialogues
  • Coordinate landscape activities for coffee, rice, cocoa and palm-oil workstreams with government and project partners
  • Provide technical advice on sustainable production, conservation, restoration and integrated landscape management
  • Oversee low-value grant agreements, partner assessment, implementation monitoring and knowledge exchange
  • Prepare progress reports, technical guidance and knowledge products on commodity and landscape activities

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, Forestry, Social and Political Sciences or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in those fields with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least two years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or four years with a bachelor’s degree, in sustainable agriculture, environment, natural-resource management or climate change
  • Experience writing reports, summarising papers and delivering presentations to national and international audiences
  • Experience with office software, web-based management systems, spreadsheets and databases
  • Fluency in English and Indonesian

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with sustainable coffee, rice, cocoa or palm-oil issues
  • Experience liaising with NGOs, private-sector actors, government entities or smallholders
  • Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops
  • Experience with sustainable-development, green-commodity, climate-smart agriculture or environmental-management projects
  • Experience managing development projects or providing technical expertise to UNDP or other UN agencies
