Job Description

UNOPS seeks a Support Services Manager in Khartoum for its Sudan Programme. The role leads integrated finance, human resources, procurement, grants, administration, information technology, health and safety and compliance services; advises programme leadership on operations and risk; manages budgets and staff systems; supports inclusive procurement and recruitment; and embeds DEI, GESI.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Supervise finance, HR, procurement, HSSE, ICT and administration operations
  • Advise programme leadership on operational planning, financing approaches and risk mitigation
  • Support budget preparation, revisions, work planning and financial projections
  • Manage Sudan Programme procurement and grant-issuance processes
  • Ensure finance and compliance with UNOPS rules and financial procedures
  • Lead recruitment, performance, training and inclusive-workplace processes
  • Manage administrative services, assets, security, travel and ICT infrastructure
  • Integrate DEI, GESI and PSEAH commitments into programme strategies and operations

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree with five years or Bachelor’s degree with seven years of relevant experience
  • Experience leading personnel and operational systems across at least two functions including procurement, finance, logistics, asset management or HR
  • Recent three years managing staff and operational systems
  • Willingness to work in hardship duty stations or travel to post-crisis locations
  • Fluent English

  • UNOPS country or field-office experience
  • UN regulations and contracting, procurement or HR experience
  • DEI, GESI and PSEAH integration experience
  • Arabic
