Supports UNHCR’s Global Shared Services supply order management by processing purchase requests, coordinating sourcing and contract transactions, maintaining auditable procurement records and providing supply-chain data that enables compliant, timely services for global operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requests and verify requisition documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Coordinate with requesters to resolve documentation gaps and keep transactions moving
  • Conduct secondary bidding exercises and document sourcing actions under existing contracts
  • Register and amend contracts and link contractual records to purchase orders
  • Prepare procurement plans, purchase orders, quotation requests and tender documentation
  • Extract and analyse order, contract, logistics and procurement data for operational reporting
  • Maintain complete auditable supply records and traceable supporting documentation
  • Monitor supply-chain data quality, delivery progress and compliance with procurement procedures

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with at least three years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, order management or contract administration
  • Experience using an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP or PeopleSoft
  • Experience processing high volumes of transactions while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and service requestors
  • Working-level English
  • Legal presence in Hungary and authorisation to work there at recruitment

Desired Criteria

  • Training in UN procurement or logistics, such as IAPSO or UNPD
