Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate purchase requests, solicitations, bid evaluations and order follow-up
  • Support negotiations and resolve supplier delivery issues
  • Advise requesters on specifications and compliant procurement procedures
  • Identify and evaluate local and international suppliers and service providers
  • Maintain contract, procurement and asset-tracking records and reports
  • Record asset assignments, transfers, returns, losses and disposals
  • Conduct physical asset inventories and reconcile results in MAIA
  • Coordinate logistics with United Nations agencies, partners and authorities
  • Support local passenger and cargo flight bookings and supervise junior staff

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience or a university degree with 4 years
  • Experience in procurement, logistics and supplier relationships
  • Experience in asset-management processes
  • French and English proficiency in speaking and writing
  • Certification in procurement, logistics or supply-chain management

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with IOM or United Nations procurement and logistics rules
  • Experience in an international and multicultural organisation
  • Experience training and coordinating teams
  • Working knowledge of local languages
