Job Description

Supports IOM Venezuela’s resources-management function by managing procurement and supply-chain processes. The role prepares tenders and contracts, coordinates vendors and deliveries, maintains procurement records, supports asset, warehouse and fleet activities, and provides guidance on procurement procedures.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Verify procurement requisitions and obtain required information
  • Prepare tender documents, solicit bids and coordinate evaluations
  • Confirm supplier terms and prepare purchase documentation
  • Monitor requisitions, deliveries and supplier payments
  • Maintain procurement records and prepare periodic reports
  • Conduct market surveys and evaluate suppliers
  • Support asset, warehouse and fleet operations
  • Provide procurement guidance and training to staff

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a stated business, accounting, logistics or supply-chain field with three years of relevant experience, or a high-school diploma with five years
  • Experience in procurement and logistics with vendors and service providers
  • Experience with asset-management processes
  • Fluency in Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Certification in procurement, logistics or supply chain management
  • Experience with IOM or UN procurement and logistics rules and procedures
  • Experience working in an international organisation
  • Fluency in English
