Job Description

The Procurement Services Associate manages complex UNICEF procurement-service transactions, from needs analysis and cost estimates through sales orders, deliveries and reporting. Based in Copenhagen, the role coordinates business units and supports process improvements, risk mitigation and partner service.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Perform procurement services activities in line with UNICEF rules, regulations and procedures
  • Manage and monitor partner transactions, key accounts and complex projects
  • Analyse requests and mitigate operational risks
  • Co-lead screening review groups for assigned projects
  • Coordinate transactions across centres
  • Prepare cost estimates and sales orders and monitor their progress
  • Expedite purchase orders and deliveries
  • Prepare monitoring reports and close transaction files
  • Support operational improvements in procurement services

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or A levels with technical university courses in business administration or a related field
  • Six years of relevant experience in procurement operations, project management, partner relationship management or transaction management
  • Proficiency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language or a local language
  • Experience in developing countries or the United Nations system
  • Experience related to maternal health, neonatal health or humanitarian preparedness
  • Country-level experience in development, fragile or humanitarian contexts
