Job Description

Strengthens migration-information and distress-reporting services for vulnerable youth in Kenya under IOM’s BRMM programme. The consultant will improve hotline, feedback and referral systems; develop standard operating procedures and response tools; map service gaps; build case-management capacity; facilitate stakeholder coordination; and provide a practical roadmap for migration support.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop standard operating procedures and response channels for feedback mechanisms
  • Refine distress and hotline forms to capture case, location and referral information
  • Map referral pathways, response actors and service gaps
  • Build hotline and case-management staff capacity
  • Establish coordination channels between hotline managers and referral partners
  • Develop information-sharing protocols and a final implementation roadmap

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in migration, development, social sciences or a related field
  • Experience in migration programming, hotline systems or case management and referral mechanisms
  • Expertise in SOP development and capacity building
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, data protection and ethical service delivery
  • Fluency in English and Swahili

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in Kenya or the East and Horn of Africa region
