Job Description
Manage water, hygiene and sanitation services for the WHO campus in Brazzaville, including sampling, laboratory analysis, treatment and distribution infrastructure, maintenance and environmental sanitation. The UN Volunteer oversees cleaning and waste services, prepares procurement documents, coordinates with utility providers, and reports on WASH performance and corrective measures.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect water samples using hygiene procedures and ensure traceability of collected samples
- Manage physical-chemical and microbiological laboratory analyses under WHO standards and local regulations
- Advise on corrective measures when contamination occurs
- Maintain water-production, treatment and distribution infrastructure including reservoirs, chlorination systems, pumps and boreholes
- Manage cleaning, green-space maintenance and waste collection across campus facilities
- Manage pest-control, disinfection and non-collective sanitation-maintenance operations
- Coordinate regular water supply with the national distribution company
- Prepare terms of reference, tender letters, technical evaluations and purchase orders
Role Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in a food or water microbiology laboratory, sanitation project, chemistry laboratory, hydraulic project, hygiene enterprise, or drinking-water production and distribution operations
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good general knowledge of laboratory-management systems and technologies
