Job Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre is seeking an Individual Contractor Metal Carpenter in Brindisi to restore reliable metal carpentry services for safe and functional facilities. The four-week, in-person assignment supports dismantling a data centre in Building 261, assessing and repairing damaged metal work, and dismantling prefabricated units for the Warehouse and Distribution Unit’s.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Dismantle the old data-centre structure
- Assess the metal-railing profile of the damaged entrance door in Building 261
- Support dismantling prefabricated units formerly used as a farmer database
- Restore and maintain safe, compliant metal carpentry services
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of practical experience in metal fabrication, assembly and repair including welding, cutting and shaping steel and aluminium structures
- Experience evaluating iron, steel and aluminium and selecting appropriate tools and equipment
- Fluency in oral and written English
Desired Criteria
- Sheet-metal work for mechanical, electrical or HVAC installations
- Safety-awareness training
