Job Description

UNICEF Jordan seeks a UN Volunteer Social Protection Associate in Amman to support research, analysis and communication for child-sensitive social protection and public-finance priorities. Working with the Social Policy section, the associate will track trends, develop knowledge and advocacy products, support documentation and reporting, and advance the National Social Protection Strategy.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and review analytical and knowledge products on child-sensitive social protection and public-finance management
  • Monitor socio-economic trends affecting children and contribute to data collection and report writing
  • Design, review and edit communication materials for Social Policy priorities
  • Develop advocacy briefs on National Social Protection Strategy implementation milestones and child-focused outcomes
  • Document and report on the social-policy portfolio
  • Prepare meeting notes, briefings and progress updates for internal and external audiences

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in economic development, poverty and social protection or public and social policies
  • Skills in data and policy analysis
  • Planning and coordination skills
  • English writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications

  • Familiarity with database and data-collection tools
