Senior Investment Specialist (Guarantees)

Leads guarantee transactions that mobilise commercial financing for ADB sovereign and non-sovereign clients. The specialist originates, structures, executes and syndicates debt and political-risk or credit guarantees, advises project teams on financing structures and develops relationships with banks, insurers and investors to expand risk-sharing capacity and cofinancing opportunities.

• Originate, structure, execute and syndicate guarantee and debt transactions for sovereign and non-sovereign clients
• Mobilise commercial financing through guarantees with and without sovereign recourse
• Support regional project teams with commercial financing using ADB guarantees
• Build relationships with insurers, commercial lenders, institutional investors and development-finance partners
• Advise on financing structures, risk levels and potential financiers during transaction design
• Recommend improvements to commercial cofinancing policies, guidelines and practices
• Prepare guidance, seminars and publications on guarantees, risk distribution and syndication

• Master's degree or equivalent in a business or finance-related field, or a university degree with at least 5 years of specialised relevant experience
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in project and/or structured finance
• Hands-on experience originating, structuring, executing or working with political-risk and credit guarantees and project-finance transactions
• International development experience in several countries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Nationality of one of ADB's 69 member countries
• Relocation to Manila required
