Job Description
The Senior Information Technology Assistant will keep OICT enterprise infrastructure and custom-solution support reliable for UN operations. Based in the Enterprise Solutions Service, the role supervises technical teams, administers and monitors servers, manages deployments and incident escalation, improves service tracking and documentation, and supports secure, continuous on-premises and cloud-based technology services.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Supervise server-operations and technical-support teams
- Oversee installation, configuration, testing and deployment of server hardware and software
- Administer, monitor and troubleshoot server systems and maintain reliable 24 hour operations
- Coordinate user requests, system deployments and infrastructure-standard compliance
- Implement server backups and analyse performance and reliability statistics
- Manage service-request tracking, escalation and resolution for complex technical issues
- Maintain operational documentation, reports and staff training
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least ten years of progressively responsible information-technology or related experience, or eight years with a first-level university degree
- At least seven years supporting hosting of custom applications for international field operations
- At least seven years managing on-premises and Azure servers and virtual machines using infrastructure as code and CI CD
- At least six years writing CI CD pipelines for Azure DevOps
- At least two years developing, implementing, testing and maintaining disaster-recovery plans
- At least two years writing web applications using C#
- English

- Azure-cloud cost-management and optimisation experience
- Information-security experience in authentication, identity management or compliance
