Job Description

Provides operational human-resources support for IOM’s Cairo Mission, helping managers recruit staff, complete onboarding and maintain accurate personnel records. The role administers HR-system transactions, entitlements, leave and performance processes; supports staff learning; and coordinates sensitive personnel actions, reports and archival systems with regional and central HR counterparts.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment processes from vacancy notices and shortlisting through interviews, reference checks and job offers
  • Prepare entry-on-duty documentation, medical clearances, insurance enrolment, inductions and security briefings
  • Maintain accurate HR-system data, personnel actions, contract extensions and benefit eligibility records
  • Administer attendance and leave processes and advise staff on system requests and approvals
  • Coordinate documentation for separation, classification, promotion and disciplinary actions with IOM HR counterparts
  • Maintain personnel, recruitment, policy and internal-control archives
  • Monitor performance-evaluation compliance and provide system guidance
  • Coordinate staff development and training events and assess learning needs

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma with six years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field with four years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, oral and written

Desired Criteria

  • Previous SAP experience
  • Prior work experience in an international humanitarian, non-governmental or government institution in a multicultural setting
