SECONDMENT - Senior Fingerprint Examiner

Performs expert fingerprint comparison and identification for INTERPOL in Lyon, maintaining AFIS records and supporting incident-response work. The seconded examiner trains specialists, presents evidence as an expert witness, promotes fingerprint services, manages projects and represents the unit coordinator.

• Compare and identify fingerprints and crime-scene marks using AFIS and maintain records
• Present forensic findings, testify as an expert witness and support incident-response teams
• Train fingerprint personnel, promote the service, manage projects and represent the coordinator

• Three to four years of university or specialized higher education, or ten years of relevant experience
• At least three years of relevant fingerprint-examination experience with the required education
• Fluent English
• Current law-enforcement or government official in an INTERPOL member country
• Written secondment confirmation from the home administration through the National Central Bureau

• Arabic, French or Spanish is an asset
• Management experience may be required
• Availability for on-call and incident-response work is expected
