Job Description
Maintain WIPO's Nice, Vienna and Locarno classification systems for intellectual-property information. The officer will service expert committees, prepare proposals and reports, organize online revision discussions, review classification documents and translations, train examiners, verify new editions, liaise with IT specialists, support section planning, and represent WIPO in meetings and events.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide secretariat services and documentation for Committees of Experts and Working Groups
- Organize online discussions for classification-system revisions
- Review working documents and translations and train trademark and design examiners
- Verify new classification editions and follow up committee decisions
- Liaise with IT experts on publication platforms and online tools
- Represent WIPO at meetings seminars training courses and exhibitions
Role Requirements
- First-level degree in law, economics, international relations, science, engineering, business, commerce, linguistics or related field
- Intellectual-property studies training or certificate
- At least six years of experience using trademark or industrial-design classification systems
- Excellent English
Desired Criteria
- International meeting coordination experience is desirable
- Knowledge of another official UN language, preferably French, is desirable
