Job Description

Supports UNHCR’s fundraising database and marketing-technology operations by administering Salesforce and connected platforms, troubleshooting system issues and improving data quality. The internship also develops GCP-based reports and dashboards, uses SQL and visualisation tools to turn donor and marketing data into insights, and assists local and regional teams with platform upgrades and operational support.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support administration of Salesforce and the connected marketing-technology ecosystem, including payment and marketing-automation platforms
  • Identify business needs, system performance issues, pain points and improvement opportunities
  • Assess operational requests, troubleshoot defects and escalate issues through UNHCR’s ticketing process
  • Monitor data cleanliness and work with teams to cleanse datasets and improve data quality
  • Build and maintain Salesforce and GCP-based reports and dashboards for fundraising and marketing performance
  • Use SQL and visualisation tools to transform donor data into actionable insights
  • Support Salesforce package upgrades

Role Requirements

  • Current enrolment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate programme, or graduation from such a programme within the previous two years
  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to UNHCR
  • No prior UNHCR internships that exhaust the cumulative maximum of eight months full-time or twelve months part-time
  • English at B2 level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Target start date is 1 September 2026
  • Hardship level A and family duty station
  • UNHCR reimburses authorised economy travel to and from the duty station when external sponsorship does not cover it
  • Interns are responsible for visas, residence permits, medical certification and applicable taxation costs
  • Proof of health insurance for the duty station and a certificate of good health are required
