Job Description
Provides specialist sustainment expertise to the OPFOR team within NATO's Joint Warfare Centre, helping represent adversary sustainment in joint exercises, wargames and collective training. The post develops doctrine-based sustainment schemes, leads expert teams during events, delivers internal training and builds liaison links that strengthen realistic operational-level training for NATO forces.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide subject-matter advice on sustainment in joint operations for exercise and scenario products
- Advise the Chief OPFOR on adversaries' joint sustainment operations during training events
- Draft detailed sustainment schemes based on adversary doctrine and DDA assumptions
- Lead sustainment experts during JWC-directed exercise events
- Deliver internal training to the OPFOR Branch and Joint Warfare Centre
- Attend relevant workshops and training events to maintain sustainment expertise
- Establish a liaison network with relevant subject-matter experts in the NATO Command Structure
Role Requirements
- Higher Secondary education and higher vocational training in logistics planning, economics, acquisition or a related discipline with three years of function-related experience, or secondary education and advanced vocational training with five years of post-related experience
- At least three years of sustainment-planning experience in a joint environment
- Good knowledge of adversaries' sustainment capabilities
- English at Upper Intermediate level
- NATO Secret security clearance
Desired Criteria
- Experience in exercise planning or exercise production
- Previous work in a red team or opposing-forces team
- University degree in logistics planning, economics, acquisition or a related discipline
- Russian at Intermediate SLP 2222
- Valid security clearance
