Job Description

The Resources Management Officer leads IOM Cyprus’s budgetary, financial and administrative functions. The role supervises the Resource Management Unit, controls project budgets and reports, manages treasury and donor compliance, oversees human resources, procurement, supply-chain and support services, and provides financial input to programme development, monitoring and operational decisions.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Resource Management Unit and implement structural reforms and capacity building
  • Oversee financial management and administrative compliance for IOM Cyprus projects
  • Manage treasury and forecast cash flows against approved project activities
  • Conduct financial reviews, budget control and variance analysis
  • Prepare or review project budgets, revisions and financial reports
  • Supervise human resources, procurement, financial and administrative functions
  • Oversee supply-chain services, fleet, premises and country-office support services
  • Provide financial and administrative input to programme development and donor compliance

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, management or a related field with two years of relevant professional experience, or university degree in those fields with four years
  • Experience in financial management, accounting and budgeting
  • Fluency in English, oral and written

Desired Criteria

  • Professional certification as CA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience in emergency operations, monitoring and evaluation, audit or multi-country programming
  • Working knowledge of Greek and another official UN language
