Job Description
Leads UNEP FI's Latin America and Caribbean network while supporting development and piloting of Brazil's sustainable-finance taxonomy. The consultant will expand member engagement, coordinate regional workplans and capacity-building, represent the initiative with regulators and financial institutions, and support implementation, monitoring, communications and donor-funded sustainable-finance projects across the region.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a regional engagement plan for UNEP FI members and potential members in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Prepare regional workplans aligned with UNEP FI strategy and global work programmes
- Support capacity-building, peer exchange, technical assistance and regional events for financial institutions
- Represent UNEP FI and engage regulators, policymakers, industry associations and financial institutions
- Support implementation and monitoring of donor-funded sustainable-finance projects in Brazil and the wider region
- Support development and piloting of the Brazilian taxonomy with government, GIZ and other partners
- Coordinate regional communications, member resources and administrative processes including reporting and invoice payments
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in communications, marketing, business, sustainability, environment, finance, international relations, business administration or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with nine years of relevant experience
- At least seven years of experience supporting the intersection of sustainable development and finance in international organisations, financial services, private sector or NGOs
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Portuguese

- Client-facing experience in financial services or sustainability-related consulting
- Knowledge of project development and planning
- Knowledge of the banking sector or sustainable finance
