Supports UNEP FI’s sustainable-finance work across Africa and the Middle East by engaging banks, insurers, regulators and partners, expanding membership, coordinating training and events, maintaining regional communications, and advancing responsible banking and insurance principles.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate UNEP FI engagement across the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa
- Expand banking and insurance membership and maintain a pipeline of prospective signatories
- Manage relationships and communications with members, regulators, industry associations and partners
- Promote and support implementation of responsible banking and sustainable insurance principles
- Organise regional roundtables, workshops, webinars, peer exchanges and technical assistance
- Maintain regional web content, stakeholder records, news and market-priority information
- Support sponsorship, donor-funded activities and collection of member contributions
- Prepare translated materials, concept notes, donor reports and sustainable-finance research
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in international relations, business, economics and finance, sustainable development or an environmental field, or bachelor's degree with four years of related experience
- At least two years of experience in financial services or sustainable finance
- Project support and management experience in an international organisation, NGO or consultancy
- Experience with public-private partnerships in sustainable finance or corporate responsibility
- Event management and moderation or public-speaking capability
- Fluency in English and French
