Advance UNOPS climate-finance positioning and project pipeline through portfolio analysis, donor mapping and strategic advice. Responsibilities

  • Identify climate-finance entry points across sectors and geographies
  • Review portfolios, donor priorities and emerging financing mechanisms
  • Map stakeholders and advise engagement with governments and finance providers
  • Assess institutional readiness and capacity gaps
  • Develop screening tools, templates and training materials
  • Identify and prioritise a pipeline of climate-finance opportunities
  • Support concept notes, proposals, investment cases and co-financing structures
  • Quality-assure climate submissions and mentor UNOPS teams

Requirements

  • Master degree in climate change, environmental economics, finance, international development, public policy or related field plus ten years of experience, or bachelor degree plus twelve years
  • At least ten years of climate-finance or development-finance experience
  • Experience with international climate-finance mechanisms and multilateral funds
  • Fluent English
