Responsibilities
- Identify climate-finance entry points across sectors and geographies
- Review portfolios, donor priorities and emerging financing mechanisms
- Map stakeholders and advise engagement with governments and finance providers
- Assess institutional readiness and capacity gaps
- Develop screening tools, templates and training materials
- Identify and prioritise a pipeline of climate-finance opportunities
- Support concept notes, proposals, investment cases and co-financing structures
- Quality-assure climate submissions and mentor UNOPS teams
Requirements
- Master degree in climate change, environmental economics, finance, international development, public policy or related field plus ten years of experience, or bachelor degree plus twelve years
- At least ten years of climate-finance or development-finance experience
- Experience with international climate-finance mechanisms and multilateral funds
- Fluent English
